European street photography: Henri Cartier-Bresson

“In photography, the smallest thing can be a great subject.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson

I am a great admirer of Henri Cartier-Bresson’s unique style of street photography. Cartier-Bresson was a believer in opening the mind and letting photographic experiences candidly find him, creating poetic imagery in his photographs. Through studying his images, I have learnt to not take the world at face value, and to search for the inner beauty in everyday scenes.  I applied this new found knowledge while exploring and photographing the streets of Europe.
